A Bell is an object that conveys a message via sound. There are various types of bells which can be categorized on their shape, size, material and sound emitted. Different bells produce sounds of different frequencies and timbre. In fact, sound is the distinguishing factor for different types of bells. Undoubtedly the bell sound conveys the intended message.
