More About My Coast

My Coast is a coastal safety and information app developed in collaboration with the RNLI, Meteomatics and SWW, endorsed by Surf Life Saving Great Britain, Visit Cornwall, Cornwall Council and the Above Water charity. Our vision is to help improve survival rates for coastal incidents by enabling better decision making before entering the water or visiting the beach.

My Coast gives you all the information you need to choose the best location for a safe, enjoyable day at the beach. You’ll have live safety data detailing tides, sea conditions, weather, local facilities and amenities, all helping you to make the best decisions both before and during your visit.

My Coast allows users to select the coastal activity they are interested in (for example: paddle-boarding, surfing, swimming) and then select which facilities and amenities they require (such as a cafe, parking, showers or toilets). Users will then be presented with a filterable list of the best locations on the coast for their requirements, using real-time data on location, weather, wind speed and direction, activities, facilities and amenities.
