Play Your Tracks on Stage
Are you a musician? First and foremost, the “Performance Tracks” app is your tool for the stage that reliably plays your backing tracks, also known as performance tracks. Instead of generated or karaoke-style tracks, “performance tracks,” are a kind of audio tracks that fill out your sound on-stage. They are usually custom audio tracks that you provide. You can record them yourself, or purchase them from artists who specialize in making them.
Different from a sample player or sequencers, Performance Tracks is optimized for simplicity and speed, and helps you play entire songs front-to-back. Push play, and then perform along with it. That easy. By default, Performance Tracks stops at the end of each track, and queues up the next track. No racing for the “pause” button, or hitting skip to prepare for the next song. It only takes one tap between songs, for an entire show.
Whether you are in a tribute band, and want to replicate the original artists stage sound, or if you’re an original artist who wants to perform more instruments live than you can play at one time, Performance Tracks is for you.
