The Public Safety Library mobile app is intended for use by public safety personnel engaged in national, state, and local emergency radio communications. Public Safety Library enables users to store and access interoperable communications field operations information on their mobile devices. Electronic field operations guides (eFOGs) include rules and regulations for use of nationwide and other interoperability channels, tables of frequencies and standard channel names, and other reference material. These technical references are used for emergency communications planning and by radio technicians responsible for radios used in disaster response.
Downloading eFOG app packages from the online Library to your Bookshelf gives you easy access to public safety communications information for your area, providing a content index to references, tables, charts, and maps. Navigation links allow you to jump directly to regional quick references as well as add customizable bookmarks called Favorites to develop your own personalized access to critical information for your territory. Once in the Bookshelf, you can use an eFOG app package in the field as an offline reference, without the need of cellular or data connection.
Public Safety Library was developed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) under the Interoperable Communications Technical Assistance Program (ICTAP).
